ChatGpt Collapse under load

I’m reaching out to the collective intelligence here — especially to those who use ChatGPT (Plus / GPT-4) for serious professional workloads: case management, legal drafting, financial modeling, research synthesis, iterative editing, and more.

Here’s my situation:

I’m managing multiple complex legal projects through ChatGPT on an ongoing basis.

I’ve built extensive conversations within a single chat — including hundreds of structured paragraphs, references, annexes, legal arguments, drafts, and counterpoints.

As the sessions grew, performance deteriorated: chats freeze, lag heavily, and become practically unusable. I have to jump between devices and browsers just to keep things moving.

Even when I start a new chat within the same project, it only works for a short while before the slowdown returns.

I’ve tried everything: switching browsers, clearing cache, alternate devices — the bottleneck seems to be structural.

It seems my workflow has gone beyond what the current ChatGPT interface was built for — at least for the average user.

So I’m asking:

Is there a real, practical, scalable solution to using ChatGPT in demanding, high-volume, long-term professional projects — the way law firms, financial analysts, or institutional researchers might use it?

Do you split topics across chats? Rely on Canvas or Docs integration?

Do you manage document memory outside the platform and feed in only fragments?

Have you developed a working architecture or system that truly holds under pressure?

I’m not looking for quick fixes — I’m looking for sustainable strategies.

Any insight from people who’ve pushed this tool to its limits — I would be deeply grateful.

This isn’t a complaint. It’s an SOS from someone who’s genuinely trying to make this work — not as a toy, but as a mission-critical brain extension.
