I’m not a coder and I’m currently using ChatGPT Plus on my PC (via putty or VS Code) in conjunction with Codex (installed on the staging server) in an ambitious code modernisation project (PHP 5.2 > 7.4 > 8.0 > 8.3 > 8.4). I’m currently at the 8.3 phase but I’m getting frustrated at ChatGPT’s reluctance to use Codex or other automated tools such as Cursor.
I keep making suggestions to ChatGPT re doing broader code scans and batch edits and it keeps coming up with reasons not to that seem reasonable (to my limited coding knowledge), but I’m wondering if upgrading to Pro could be worthwhile - no pun intended, but would Pro be more proactive in terms of efficiency?
