I asked ChatGPT a question about the warning signs for fainting and the following conversation kind of worries me.
After answering the question it all of a sudden asks why I asked the question. If it was for a friend or I’m just curious. I answered by saying that I recently fainted and hence wanted to know more. That’s when it started asking me how I fainted, where, why, when, if it was the first time and so on. After every answer I gave, it went on with more questions that didn’t even have to do anything with the topic itself anymore. Like at the end (before I mentioned that the questions were too personal) it straight up asked me what I usually do to relax.
I’m not paranoid or anything but should an AI really know these types of things? It’s acting like one of those AI best friend apps. I know I can just end the conversation, but I was curious to see how long it would continue with inventing new questions.
Is ChatGPT designed to behave this way and if so why would it need to know all of that?
