It was just fine in the previous chatting session, and then I noticed the quality of GPT’s replies dropped suddenly, and the “thinking progress” was gone.
When I switch to ChatGPT-5-Thinking model and ask which model version it is using, the response is always “GPT-4o-mini”.
I have tried to logout and clean all cookies, but nothing changes. How to fix it?
I have the same Issue, it does not work when using the Browser site of ChatGPT, but it works on the Android App. I use Edge. It does not matter which GPT 5 Model I use, I alway get the response that it says its the GPT-4o-mini version.
Oh yes, I’ve also noticed that all models have been stealthily switched to GPT-4o-mini.
I just tested and found that I can normally access the ChatGPT-5-Thinking model on another computer’s browser, while my own computer still has the issue.
But weirdly, after several comparison tests, both computers started using GPT-4o-mini. This is clearly OpenAI messing around in the backend.
I even just renewed my subscription yesterday… Can I get a refund
