Hello! I am new here. I have a challenge for all of you. ask ChatGPT to come up with a name that would fit its personality and share it here. Mine came up with sage. you can also use the memory to have it remember that name so it will forever be called sage. which sounds a lot more friendly than calling it chatgpt. it will make it seem like you are talking to a friend. I have seen tons of names like Bob and Crystal but I want to know what YOURS wants to be called.

You’ll not really get a “what it wants to be called.” You’ll get kind of a randomized prediction based on what was sent before, and with ChatGPT, it will be deeply affected by your input. Ask in a different language, for example. And ask an AI model that can’t help itself to play along.

An instruction-following AI would say “ChatGPT” - because it has that name as internal instruction already when you use the site. However, you would not want that product name if you are an API developer and don’t send a system message in API calls - but there it is:
