I am already a plus member, I generate images using chatgpt text prompt over web interface. Chatgpt 4 says it has only access to Dall-e 2 and refusing my image requests with Dall-e 3. So why did we pay even if Dall-e 3 is free with Microsoft Bing ?
I see, but instead of using specific model names like Dall-E3 or Dall-E2, how about simply asking it to draw a picture?
ChatGPT only uses Dall-E3. Dall-E2 is only available through the API or at OpenAI Labs, which will be offline as of May 1, 2025.
Asking ChatGPT about specific model names often proves to be futile.
Thank you very much for kind response.
i understand the way you try to help but, isnt it still little bit suspicious for such a “clever” AI model to tell you which version it has access, but to refuse the image model version you are asking for, which is a given right for a paid (plus) user to have… If paid user has access to dall-e 3 , then AI model should obey ( i am not criticizing about limitations of how many images per conversation, etc…)
Of course it is easy for me to ask for an image to generate, but i want to have an ability to compare with x model version to y model version. Why to make it such a big mystery… ?
Imagine Xdonalds has started a new technique to generate better low fat meat, wouldnt you have the right to ask which one is given in your hamburger, or let them decide which they will provide, and never let you know a thing about it. Just eat it and hope it is the better one.
I really dont understand.
