I really enjoy both the Project Folder and the CustomGPT function. I would like to introduce some requested features or functionality.
-
add timestamps to messages, and potentially even chats as well
-
be able to reference other chats or conversations, like its a data source. Using a symbol like @, #, or &, or something be able tell the model to refer to that chat. Maybe a symbol for referring to project folders, and a different symbol for referring to chats?
-
introduce the ability to not only apply a pin to a chat or project folder or CustomGPT. But a choice between a pin, a star, a circle, an X, or whatever other symbols. This can help group together similar or related chats visually, making long lists of chats in project folders or the sidebar into grouped chunks. With all if the unmarked chats below
-
The pin would keep a chat at the top of whatever list its in, project folder or on the normal sidebar or on the CustomGPT sidebar section.
-
the other symbols could have other purposes or meaning, like the X is for hidden chats or the Star is for important. Or maybe the symbols just keep those chats/conversations in one chunk.
-
allow CustomGPT chats to be better organized
-
allow CustomGPTs to be added to project folders
-
cohesive context or memory for chats in project folders
-
shared context and/or memory for chats in a project folder
-
currently, due to the lack of shared context of the chats in project folders i basically use folders as filters. I move chats or conversations into, and out of, multiple folders to apply the instructions and files of the project folder to specific input/output in each conversation. I noticed that OpenAI added a small “@projectfoldername” at the top of the inputs that i make when i move conversations through multiple folders. Which helps show the applied context for that aspect of the conversation or chat.
-
Introduce tags for chats, groups, CustomGPTs, and other aspects.
-
This could or would help organization of utilizing multiple or various features for a sole use case or project. A CustomGPT that is used for a specific project or use case could have the same tag as a project folder, because they are somewhat or somehow related.
-
The tags could eventually expand to assist the model determine or draw connections between various aspects throughout the ChatGPT app. It could help show what is connected, like a web.
-
Using multiple tags, because a user has something like a specialized CustomGPT that utilize in multiple different use cases.
