I am a College Student and I have my last year project to do so I have build a website and I want to make a chat box in corner of my website, but I have researched alot and cant find the perfect solution . My questions are does I have to purchase the api model ? Like I want to use gpt 3.5 0.125 model so does I have to purchase it ? … I have a free account where I have 5 dollars so I can generate api keys so plz guide me .

You can use your $5 credit - as long as they haven’t expired - towards any of the models that are unlocked for you (https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/rate-limits/free-tier-rate-limits). You don’t need to pay anything as long as you have that, and only need to purchase more if you would like access to the stronger models
