Cavas not working? I recently Just cam back using Chatgpt and up until beginning/middle of last week (April 22, 2025- The Canvas app isn’t actually working.
This makes exporting all of the stuff I am spinning up harder. anyone else notice this?
I have noticed that it doesn’t work if you’re using Firefox. ( Cause that is my experience)
I use Firefox it doesn’t seem to work, someone else I know uses Chrome it works fine.
So this maybe a firefox-isssue.
I have noticed that if the chat that I’m in gets too big, that canvas will suddenly “stop working”. The easy fix is to start a new chat, and if you rapidly say, “This is a continuation of our discussion on ”, the assistant may be able to remember enough of what you were talking about to start a new canvas.
Another kind of fix is to ask the assistant to tell you the size of the chat you’re in, so you can tell when you’re getting close to “canvas cutoff” size. For me, it’s when the chats get to about 80-100K. I actually have things configured now so that every time the assistant tells me something, it also prepends with a timestamp that shows me the size of the current chat!
