I just upgraded to ChatGPT Plus. Unfortunately, now when I attempt to use it, all I get is an error “An error occurred, please try refreshing your browser.” Any ideas as to what’s going on?

I have received this same message several times. Refresh your screen or try logging out and logging back in. This usually works. Also, clear your last conversation before refreshing.
Yes. Thanks. This worked. If any developers from the OpenAI community read this, may I suggest that instead of a generic error like the one I received, perhaps you can leverage your own toolsets to give the person who gets this error a bit more information and assistance rather than a generic error message?

The message I received told me specifically that I don’t have a paid account! Yet my credit card has been charged and I received a confirmation message from OpenAI that my account is now a Plus account. I have not been able to log in.

Yes, I’ve tried messaging them 3 times. No response. Says, “We’ll get back with you.” Still not working for me. Can’t log on. At this point I’m feeling pretty ripped-off and frustrated. Paid my money and got nothing but a confirmation the transaction went through and a receipt for my payment from OpenAI.

Same issue. Why plus account will got the same error as normal users? I’ve just paid for plus account and got disappointed immediately

After paying 20 USD, I still get the boring message: ChatGPT is at capacity right now
Same issue. I can’t access after paying. What a bunch of scammers. Fucking lowlife, will scam people for 20 usd.
I have the same problem. Chatgpt full … but the link to chatgpt plus points me back to the full page. I thought the whole point of paying for it was to ensure that this wouldn’t happen. This is about the third time it’s happened, and I’ve now lost faith in the subscription model.
It’s 100% that outage, yeah.
I’m a ChatGPT Plus subscriber too. Same thing as your power company—an outage is an outage, it doesn’t care if you’ve paid or not. Whole network’s down for EVERYONE, ChatGPT Plus and all. No idea the scope of the problem, so we’ll just have to wait it out and hope their engineers unroot and fix the problem soon
And no customer support available to talk to. I’m fucking disappointed. Wasted 20 usd on this trash
Check the outage status page (https://status.openai.com/). See how few red lines are under the ChatGPT timeline? This is the first one. Makes it an unforeseen abnormality. Amazon’s entire cart system has gone down a few times for a couple of hours in the past 3 months—can happen to anyone.

I cancelled my subscription but it is supposed to be effective until March 21, 2023 but I can no longer access the app when it is at capacity. What a joke of a service
exactly faced the same after upgrading it did not work at all, I will ask for a refund
