Can ChatGPT now access the current date?

I just had a conversation with chatGPT in spanish in which it correctly mentioned the current date.

I didn’t use any plugin, so that surprised to me. The following is my complete conversation with chatGPT:

I’m pretty certain the current date is passed in the system message for ChatGPT.
