Has anyone else noticed how terrible the new Cove voice sounds?
After the recent update, it’s completely changed –
it now sounds distorted, robotic, and has constant background noise that makes it hard to listen to.
Honestly, the audio quality feels worse than before, not better.
I used to rely on the original Cove voice for calm, clear interactions,
but now it feels completely unfamiliar and disconnected.
Even worse: on PC, when you disable Advanced Voice Mode,
you can’t use Cove at all – only a generic female voice plays.
Meanwhile, on mobile, you can still use Cove freely even with Advanced Voice Mode turned off.
This inconsistency between platforms is incredibly frustrating.
Please, OpenAI – let us choose the voice that actually works for us.
Bring back the Classic Cove voice.
