Azure OpenAI performance degradation for Multimodal Models

Hi all,
Recently my app started facing intermittent issues in a multimodal step.
The call to Azure OpenAI for chat completions seemed to be taking far longer (1-2mins) than usual (4-20sec).
Is anyone aware of what might be the cause for this issue? Or of any workarounds to accommodate these intermittent degradation issues.

Unfortuantly, Azure OpenAI Services are handled by Microsoft support and not here.
