Add an optional setting that automatically activates branched chats so they appear in the sidebar immediately after branching. Currently, branches remain hidden until the user sends a message, which makes managing multiple workflows difficult and breaks the expectation that a branch behaves like a new conversation. A toggle such as “Auto-activate branches in sidebar” would preserve the current default while supporting advanced users who rely heavily on branching.
This makes sense. I can see how it’s confusing when a branch doesn’t show up in the sidebar right away, especially if you’re using branching to manage multiple workflows.
An optional toggle like that feels like a reasonable way to support power users without changing the default behavior.
