App rejected - no reason given

Hi everyone,

I’ve submitted a ChatGPT app for review. The first time I submitted it I got a rejection based on incorrect use of destructiveHint. I fixed that issue and resubmitted. Now, when I try resubmitting I’m getting an almost immediate rejection and the rejection email contains no reason for rejection. It says, “Please see the details below:” but then there is just whitespace and no further information.

The rejection is not caused by an error from my application as the rejection happens without any further calls to my application.

Does anyone know what could be causing this or how I might go about debugging the problem?

I have noticed that each time I submit the app it is retaining the same version (1.0.0) so could it be that it requires a version increment and if so how do I do that?

Many thanks.

Hey @ablestyle, yeah that’s definitely a confusing one, especially with the blank rejection reason.

Best move here is to reply directly to the rejection email. In that reply, clearly explain what changed since the last submission and why you think this one might be a mistake. Include anything that helps them review faster like your case ID, screenshots of the empty rejection section, and a note that no calls are hitting your app before the rejection.

Feel free to check the article for most common rejection reason: Submitting apps to the ChatGPT app directory.

Not the smoothest experience, agreed, but replying on that thread usually gets it unstuck.
