An AI group chat With Saved Memory

Feature Request: AI Group Chats with Shared Memory

I’d love to see a feature in ChatGPT that lets users create a group chat with multiple AI assistants that can communicate and collaborate with one another.

For example, someone developing a Roblox game could have:

- One AI specialising in Lua scripting and debugging.

- Another AI specialising in maps, characters, and game design.

- Another AI helping with planning, ideas, and project organisation.

The AIs could discuss solutions with one another, review each other’s suggestions, and work from shared project notes and memories so the user doesn’t have to explain everything repeatedly.

Users should be able to choose whether the AIs communicate automatically or wait for approval before responding to each other.

It would also be great to have portable project memories that users can share across AI assistants, making it easier to continue projects with different tools.

I think this feature would be especially useful for game development, creative writing, studying, and other collaborative projects

The shared-notes half you can do today. The assistants talking to each other is the part that needs OpenAI.

Make one Project for the game. Keep a notes file in it. What the game is, decisions made, what’s built, what’s next. Start separate chats for scripting, design and planning, and have each one read the file first. At the end of a session, ask for an updated copy and swap it in. The same file works pasted into any other assistant.

Disclosure: I’m Peter, and my brother and I wanted the same functionality, so we built Penny. It’s memory that sits outside any one assistant, so ChatGPT, Claude and coding tools read and save the same notes. It won’t make assistants talk to each other. It’s hosted, so notes go to a third party. The file may be all you need.
