Hi OpenAI team and community,
I’d like to suggest adding a “search within chats” functionality (similar to CTRL+F) in the desktop version of ChatGPT. Currently, there’s no way to quickly find specific content in long conversations, which can be limiting, especially when reviewing detailed chats.
This feature would be incredibly useful for users who need to revisit previous conversations or search for key terms, phrases, or instructions more efficiently. It’s already a natural expectation in most text-based applications, and having this in ChatGPT’s desktop version would greatly enhance the user experience.
Is this something that could be considered for future updates?
