I am a ChatGPT Plus subscriber and a visually impaired user. I have encountered an accessibility issue when using the voice call feature with ChatGPT. Specifically, the button to activate the camera is not accessible to screen readers.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Initiate a voice call with ChatGPT using a screen reader (e.g., TalkBack).
- In the conversation window, there is an icon to activate the camera. However, with the screen reader, it is as if this icon does not exist—it cannot be focused or interacted with.
Suggested Solution:
To resolve this issue, the camera button should be made focusable for screen readers. Additionally, the element should have the correct semantic role as a button, along with an accessible label, so that screen readers can properly identify and announce its function to the user.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your commitment to improving accessibility. Please let me know if you require any additional details to address this issue.
