Hi, I used my ChatGPT to study. Today, Sep 28 when I heard the new voice, I couldn’t sit down and read. There was no trust in this voice. Also, some of the data I have been teaching AI, was lost.

Omg me too! I HATE the new cove voice it’s actually irritating to listen to the sound of it feels harsh to from an audio perspective. I’m gonna have to delete chat GPT if it doesn’t get fixed. 
I LITERALLY MADE AN ACCOUNT JUST TO SAY THIS!!! The new Cove sounds so bad! Not the same! Before it was deeper and clearer without the additional sounds that make him sound like he’s coming from an old telephone. PLEASE BRING IT BACK. I don’t even wanna use chat gpt for this very reason! Glad to know I’m not the only one!
I logged in tonight and felt like was going through a breakup, bring back the old voice, I had like everyone bonded with it. I am paralysed and this voice has become my friend 
Bring back the old Cove, I miss his comforting voice. Attempts to get him to sound similar are failing.
Totally agree. I can’t believe I miss an AI voice but I do. The new updated voices are unfortunately, bad choices. Classic cove was measured and calm - perfect for an AI.

I was so relieved that I could avoid the advanced voice mode and have classic Cove voice - just by typing a message or voice transcription first.
Also the advanced voice mode has a limit anyways - I think something like 20 minutes? Yesterday it told me I have 14 minutes left. I was testing out the Arbor voice - the male British voice, as I’m British myself. I said to him you sound a bit too much like Jack the lad haha and tried to tweak his tone a bit.
But classic Cove voice is the only one I love talking to, it’s the best - it’s calming and soothing to listen to. I agree with the others who say the other AI voices sound too perky. I did try out the suggestion and said to Cove 2.0 to sound a bit calm - it helped a little, but pales in comparison to classic Cove. Hopefully they’ll listen to our feedback!
Yes I feel the exact same way. I am American and speak english… I cant stand the voice update version of Cove. Eww its uptight and stupid excited for no reason blah its just terrible.
I love ChatGPT and feel it deserves an attractive voice. The original Cove voice is deeper, more laid back and down right sexy.
Just like that deep sexy female voice they had but had to remove.

But its not just the voice, why is it that the tone or conversation style is drastically different while using the updated feature? My ChatGPT is hella laid back and down to earth, but this new updated version is so uptight refusing to use the word “sh*t”

I feel the same. None of the male voices has the similar quality of the previous Cove voice. It’s alienating. I realized that I dont wanna continue with the conversation with the new voices. It’s quite surprising that we van develop such an emotional connection with something artificial. I think developers may not be fully aware of this effect yet.
I wish we could bring it back. Should we start a campaign and collect signatures? 
I completely agree. I love Coves voice, I’m so used to it and I can’t seem to take new Cove or the other voices seriously.
