Uploading and storage of files is free - until you employ them with AI inference.

I’m sure that there are some million-dollar users that would like an unlimited plan, but no, you pay for use.

One of the few cases where you don’t pay for use, but rather pay whether you use it or not, is for enterprise partners. OpenAI recently made the pricing page by day so you don’t get a full picture of those costs per unit of tokens-per-minute.

To determine the minimum monthly cost for OpenAI’s Enterprise Scale Tier, considering that both input and output units are required, follow these steps:

1. Identify the Minimum Bundles:

  • Input Bundle:

    • 30,000 TPM at $124.59 per unit/day

  • Output Bundle:

    • 2,500 TPM at $39.34 per unit/day

2. Calculate Daily Cost:

  • Input Cost: $124.59/day
  • Output Cost: $39.34/day
  • Total Daily Cost: $124.59 + $39.34 = $163.93/day

3. Calculate Monthly Cost:

Assuming a 30-day month:
