Why "GPT-Image 1" is not a default option for GPT image creation yet?

I am wondering why “GPT-Image 1” model is not yet available in the image generation picker in the custom GPT builder mode?
It’s been 4 months already and it would be awesome to use the best model instead of outdated DALL-E
