Which model will be used for 5.6 Instant, Sol, Terra or Luna? Further, I would appreciate it if you could release new model simultaneously with the Instant model in the future, including now. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your question and feedback, @Scolet15. At this time, there is no GPT-5.6 Instant model. GPT-5.5 Instant remains the default option for fast, everyday responses, while GPT-5.6 Sol is used for the Medium, High, and Extra High reasoning settings.
GPT-5.6 Terra and Luna are available in supported experiences such as Work, Codex, and the API, but they are not currently selectable in standard ChatGPT conversations.
We also appreciate your request for future model releases to arrive alongside an updated Instant model. We’ll pass this feedback along to the appropriate team for consideration.
