What is the maximum allowable diff size?

I just got this error when having Codex work on a repo,

The generated diff exceeds our size limit and could not be extracted. This can happen when large binaries, minified assets, or an exceptionally extensive refactor are included in a single commit.

This severely limits the extent to which agents are useful. If we need to expend mental energy to try to figure out if a task is going to go over the limit it might just be easier to do ourselves.

Yeah, what’s up with that? Is there some way to work around this issue? I asked it to perform one task and it seemed to be on the verge of completing it, but then it threw this error and gave me no results or suggestions for resolving this.
