Web Search Tool Availability for Assistants

Hi everyone,

I saw the recent announcement about the new Web Search tool. I noticed it’s already available for Chat Completions, but I can’t find any mention of it being available for the Assistants API.

Does anyone know if the Web Search tool is supported for Assistants yet?
Also, is there any limitation for users in Brazil, or is it just not released for Assistants at the moment?

The Responses API endpoint is where a web search internal tool is delivered.

On Chat.Completions, you have to use a special “model”, because the endpoint doesn’t do internal tool calling.

Assistants is being shut off within a year.
