VS Code OpenAI codex keeps asking for permissions: Approve Once, Approve This Session, Reject. It does not response to Approve This Session, just keeps repeating the ask. This was broken a couple of months ago. Then it was fixed, and in the last week or so, it’s not working again.

I wish I could say for certain that one can pin to a specific version of Codex CLI but don’t known the answer at present. Will look and if I find something will report back.
Checking
At present I do not find a way to pin the Codex CLI to a version.
The best info I have is to ask ChatGPT about turning off the Codex CLI automatic updates, which then notes it depends on the installer used. As there are several variations and I do not have access to every combination to try I can not so will only pass on the information.
