I would like to know whether other professional users are experiencing the same issue.
I use ChatGPT as part of my daily production workflow while creating a scientific documentary.
My workflow was simple and extremely efficient:
- read the narration directly from the ChatGPT conversation,
- let ChatGPT listen and evaluate the timing,
- immediately review and edit the generated text in the same conversation.
After the recent Voice update, this workflow is no longer possible because the full-screen Voice interface hides the conversation.
OpenAI Support has confirmed that there is currently no equivalent single-window workflow on the web and that the only workaround is to use additional windows or applications.
My question is not about the new interface itself.
My question is about the rollout strategy.
In software engineering, when a new interface replaces an existing one, I would expect users to be able to switch between the old and the new workflow until the new one is fully deployed and proven stable.
Instead, the previous workflow disappeared before the replacement was fully available on my account.
As a paying subscriber, this temporarily reduced my productivity on an active professional project.
Is anyone else affected by this transition?
