TTS output is extremely quiet

I’m using the TTS API, and I’ve noticed that the output has almost inaudibly low volume. Is this normal? See attachment.

EDIT: ideally try testing this on an iPhone or Android device. It doesn’t seem to be quite as bad in a browser. I’m new to audio streaming, is post-processing generally necessary?

Did you ever figure this out? Just ran into this issue myself now after testing on a real device.

Ask that clever AI you’ve got handy how to normalize audio files, or do that on the in-memory API response completed audio data.

That is setting the peak levels to the maximum digital volume.
