Timeline for British / UK Accent Voices in Realtime API?

Hi there,

I’m building a voice receptionist using the Realtime API for a UK-based clinic, and I wanted to ask about British accent support.

Right now the available voices (like echo and shimmer) work well, but they sound American. For local businesses, that’s quite noticeable and can affect how natural or trustworthy the call feels.

Is there any plan to introduce UK or other regional accents to the Realtime API? Even a rough timeline would be really helpful.

At the moment it feels like a tradeoff between fast realtime models and more natural voices using external TTS.

Would be great to know if this is something on the roadmap.
