I would like to suggest a feature for Chatgpt that could improve learning and long-form conversations.
Currently, a single chat contains both:
- Main learning questions that move the topic forward
Examples:
-
Guide me about import-export business
-
Create a roadmap
-
Explain the next topic
- Small clarification questions or doubts
Examples:
-
Meaning of a vocabulary
-
Explanation of a sentence
-
Small follow-up questions
The problem is that all of these appear in one continuous timeline. While clarification questions are important, they can make the main learning flow messy and difficult to revisit later.
For example, if I ask many small doubts between major questions, I have to scroll repeatedly to find the original roadmap or previous main discussion. Starting a new chat is not ideal because context gets separated.
My suggestion is a “Subchat” or “Threaded Conversation” feature.
Example:
Main Chat:
-
Guide me about import-export business
-
Create a learning roadmap
-
Next learning topic
Subchat under a response:
-
Vocabulary questions
-
Sentence clarification
-
Small follow-up doubts
-
Temporary side discussions
This would work similarly to Discord threads and would help keep the main learning path clean while still allowing detailed clarification discussions.
I believe this could especially help users using Chatgpt for education, business learning, research, and structured long-term conversations.
