Jesper Kouthoofd,
I have a sneaky suspicion that you’ll be reading this at some point, so please listen closely, because I actually want to buy an “AI” pin, here’s the design specifications for something actually useful:
- Maximum of 45x45mm footprint.
- Weight no more than 22 grams.
- LED status indicator .
- Clip (to attach to clothing)
- No camera, only microphone & speaker.
- A button/capacitive surface.
- Must be IP67 rated.
- 2-3 day battery life in “sleep mode”
- Price of about 20-30$
- Must connect to my phone though Bluetooth.
Pocket space comes at a premium, especially for women. People who like tech are already carrying a lot of stuff around with them and don’t want to worry about charging during the day.
The Rabbit R1 is dead as a dodo; it’s an expensive plastic brick that fundamentally still occupies my hands while using it, and my pockets when not.
If you need any more directions, please do tell. I’m not a stranger to developing these kinds of things, and I’m currently making my own:
