I stumbled into an art generation related place with gpt today…
Getting it to generate prompts for me according to the confines that I have established in different projects it claims are among the highest compute intensive uses…
It explains it and makes sense to me…
I thought this would be interesting enough to share with the other artists about here as well…
It doesn’t immediately start off about the art tho:
{“prompt”:“A hyper-realistic wide image of a mirrored room with highly reflective walls and floor, creating infinite reflections. In the center, a large chrome sphere with a perfect mirrored surface rests on the reflective floor. The focus is zoomed in on the chrome sphere, which captures and distorts the dramatic reflections of a vibrant stained-glass window. The stained glass is illuminated by bright midday sunlight, casting vivid, colorful patterns of red, blue, green, and gold across the room and onto the sphere. The scene is epic and dramatic, with rich contrast, sharp detail, and surreal atmosphere.”,“size”:“1792x1024”,“n”:2}
Thank you so much for this idea!! I had so much fun with it. Here are the various prompt progressions:
The Faceted Crystal
Prompt: A faceted crystal prism sits in the center of a dark cathedral. Stained-glass windows cast multicolored light into the space. The crystal refracts light into dazzling shards of red, blue, and gold, some faint, some sharply bright. Certain facets reflect cathedral arches and shadows. Photorealistic with Dutch Masters atmosphere.
Result:
The simple sphere transformed into a prism — light scattering, facets reflecting both color and shadow. Depth achieved through contrast.
The Light Ray
Prompt: A faceted crystal prism sits in the cathedral. A ray of light streams down from above, passing through it. Stained-glass windows glow brighter, scattering radiant shards across the space. Photorealistic style with chiaroscuro drama.
Result:
Adding the ray gave the image drama and focus, while brightened stained glass brought more intensity and life.
Projection of Stained Glass
Prompt: The crystal refracts the stained-glass light and projects fractured images of the windows across the floor, walls, and arches. Reds, blues, and golds scatter in kaleidoscopic fragments, as if the cathedral itself is shattered into living light.
Result:
The first step where the cathedral itself becomes part of the crystal, breaking apart into scattered reflections.
Kaleidoscope Effect
Prompt: The crystal refracts stained-glass light so intensely that the cathedral dissolves into a kaleidoscope of shifting color and shadow. Walls and arches fracture into infinite shards of red, blue, gold, and violet, creating a living fractal of light.
Result:
The image takes on a surreal dimension — the cathedral folding into colored shards, alive with refracted patterns.
Infinity Cathedral
Prompt: Inside a vast cathedral, a giant crystal refracts stained-glass light so intensely that the entire space appears as an infinity mirror. Arches, windows, and light repeat endlessly, fracturing into luminous shards. Shadows anchor the brilliance. Photorealistic with Dutch Masters-inspired chiaroscuro lighting.
Result:
A breathtaking infinity effect — the cathedral seems to repeat forever in glass and light, dissolving into infinite stained-glass corridors.
Further experiments with glass, both colored and not, environment, leaded vs. non-leaded, and lighting conditions. I did provide a personal photo I had taken of my sunflowers as a reference.
