I really hate the new playground. I like the system prompt on left and user prompt on right. It is much easier to see everything.
Also, many times I just go with a system prompt and no user prompt. But the only way to run that now is CTRL+Enter. The submit button doesn’t turn green with only a system prompt.
Please bring back the old playground layout. I’m really disliking the usability of the new interface.
I’m really liking the new playground (except it is still broken in multiple ways). There is less space wasted by scroll bars and UI nonsense - if the input boxes would go full width.
What would be better is if any message role toggle could be system, just as you can actually do in API. Then just make system messages immune to the clear button.
If the first message is system, it can be a split pane with a slider view and handle so you can show and see as much as you want.
Or just write your own sidekick copartner that acts like you want.
