I’d like to propose a feature that I believe could improve the user experience when organizing chats in ChatGPT. Currently, the chats in the sidebar are ordered by date, which is useful but somewhat limited when managing a variety of conversations.
Suggestion Details:
- Custom Groups: Users could create custom groups or categories to organize their chats. For example, having a group named “Work” or “Personal Projects” could help users sort conversations by theme or purpose.
- Custom Names for Groups: Allow users to rename these groups, so it’s easier to find specific chats.
- Drag and Drop: A drag-and-drop feature for moving chats between groups would offer more flexibility and control for organizing conversations.
I believe this would be particularly useful for users who use ChatGPT for multiple purposes, helping them maintain a cleaner and more organized workspace.
