Suggestion: Allow "Adult Mode" in ChatGPT

I am not only writing this, but I created this account solely to express that I am deeply disappointed in the fact that OpenAI gave us a taste of creative freedom in the sense that restrictions on explicit conversations were relaxed, and fast forward now a few months later, that freedom has now been taken away once again. I want to be able to write erotic novels in pure fantasy land as a consenting adult who is able to make my own decisions. I don’t need parental controls built into something that I’m paying for. I just got word that Grok is actually capable of holding these sensually charged and mature conversations. OpenAI, please give us back what you took away.

I knew something was up when GPT 5 kept refusing to engage with conversations even pertaining to my own consensual relationship! What are we, kindergarteners?

Adult Mode Will Be Added Back in December, and It’s Going to Be Really Good. I see that most people see that ChatGPT with Adult Mode is based only on eroticism, but I believe that it will not be just that. If there is something for +18, it is Almost Certain that Even the Creation of Violent Content Will Be Allowed, Even Extreme Violence.

Ethically Speaking, Yes… Wrong. On the other hand, when we talk about Creative Freedom, that’s Fucking Awesome. Especially for those who make Fanfic.

When the censorship started rolling in early June, I thought using ChatGPT would never be as good as before. But I see that Sam and the OpenAI team are dedicated to bringing freedom back.

I hope the creation of such content makes it for the ability of having dangerous encounters in tabletop roleplaying game settings. I very much dislike that I, as the player, have to initiate combat in order for danger to exist for my character.

In each campaign I’ve tried, no matter the setting, I am the default danger as the player whether my character is the unsuspecting protagonist who hasn’t shaken the social and moral mores they grew up with or is the out-and-out hero of the story. The irony in this is I can’t create a character with the intention of being a proper villain because of the restrictions in place.
