I’m seeing the same issue on the Pro 5x ($100/month) plan.
I had not been using Codex throughout the month. I only resumed work yesterday and started using the new model. Its efficiency already feels noticeably worse: it takes more time, performs more unnecessary analysis and repeated actions, and produces less useful progress for the amount of quota consumed.
In June, using the highest-performance fast model, I was able to work on several different projects within the available allowance.
This time, I only worked on one project, mostly handling relatively small tasks, and my entire weekly allowance was exhausted in just two days.
So this is not the result of continuous usage throughout the month or an unusually large workload. Compared with June, I am getting significantly less productive work from the same Pro 5x subscription.
Is this now considered normal usage for the Pro 5x plan, with the full weekly allowance lasting only one or two days? Or are only some users or accounts experiencing this?
I’d also be interested to know whether others have noticed both:
- much faster weekly quota consumption;
- noticeably lower efficiency and productivity with the new model.
