Should I upgrade RTX 4080 to RTX 4090?

Hey everyone, I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I have an RTX 4080 running on the Linux server on my home network. I use it to transcribe Whisper snippets. Basically, I dictate whatever I need to, including personal and work-related stuff, which usually consists of reports that I write. The dictated snippets are approximately 30 seconds to about five minutes long, and then they are returned to me for post-processing. Sometimes I use them as is, and sometimes I send them to ChatGPT for corrections. My question to you is: should I upgrade my RTX 4080 to a 4090 or possibly a 5090 when it comes out? The current speed is excellent. I dictated this particular post, and it was processed in probably less than two seconds, including the ChatGPT post-processing. On the other hand, I can grab a used RTX 4090 on eBay right now for about $600, which is an outstanding deal. So, would you upgrade or not? Also, the RTX 4080 is using much less power, but at idle, it shouldn’t be a problem, right?

I wouldn’t upgrade myself to a 4090 with a 4080 but if you think the price is very reasonable then thats different. My biggest concern would be the power required for the 4090.
