Send full ChatGPT Task results via email, not only notifications

Hi OpenAI team,

I’d like to suggest an improvement for ChatGPT Tasks.

Currently, ChatGPT Tasks already make scheduled actions possible, such as daily news briefings or recurring research summaries. Email notifications also seem to be supported for task completion. However, it would be very useful if the full Task result itself could be delivered directly via email, instead of only sending a notification that the task has finished.

For example, if I create a daily Task like:

“Every morning, search for the latest AI, semiconductor, and market news, summarize the key points, and include source links.”

Ideally, I would like to receive the complete result in my email inbox, including:

  • the full generated summary;

  • source links and timestamps;

  • key conclusions or action items;

  • a direct link back to the original ChatGPT Task run.

This would make ChatGPT Tasks much more practical for recurring workflows such as daily news monitoring, investment research, academic paper tracking, and market briefings.

I understand that this kind of workflow may already be possible in an Agent-style setup or through external automation tools. However, having this built directly into the ChatGPT website would make the experience much smoother for regular users. It would turn Tasks into a lightweight but powerful personal briefing system.

A possible implementation could be an option like:

Delivery method: Push notification / Email notification / Full result by email

It would also be helpful if users could choose whether the email contains the full content, a short summary, or only a link back to ChatGPT.

Thanks for considering this feature. I believe it would make scheduled Tasks significantly more useful, especially for people who rely on ChatGPT for recurring news, research, and monitoring workflows.
