Saw an Article where Sam Altman was asking for ways to improve OpenAI in 2025

Good morning OpenAI team and community,

I saw an article in which Sam Altman asked for ideas and requests for OpenAU in 2025. I don’t have an X account but am really enthusiastic about sharing some thoughts. It would be great to see some of these implemented. I am also not sure if this is the best way to share these ideas, so if there is a better way please let me know.

  • Enhanced Personalization:
    • I would like to have an AI systems that understand me on an individual level, what my goals and values are. This would help it provide nuanced and tailored interactions. Call me by name and save data about me that doesn’t reference “User”
    • I could then work with AI as a co-creator, capable of brainstorming and iterating with me in more in all the areas that I use it, like writing, designing, and engineering.
  • Expansive Multimodal Capabilities:
    • Create a better integration of text, images, videos, sound, and even 3D models in real-time conversations.
    • I am working on a few projects and doing some deeper dives into how the AI model “thinks.” If I could create better images and videos with AI I would be able to create more.
  • AI Education and Empowerment:
    • Offer tools and frameworks to help individuals and businesses learn to build, customize, and responsibly deploy AI.
    • Accessible, interactive tutorials to not only demystify AI concepts but to show people where its values lie. Help people to see how AI can expand their productivity and also develop their passions. Not take away their jobs.
  • Create a Stronger Ethical Foundations:
    • Provide AI systems with explainable reasoning, to help users understand why decisions are made. Share what you can on why AI makes the “choices” it does and help people know that you are working to make it safe and free of bias.
    • Robust safeguards against misuse, and disinformation, aligned with global ethical standards.
  • Expand Regional and Global Accessibility:
    • Create AI solutions tailored to diverse cultural, social, and economic contexts.
  • AI and the Environment:
    • Implement the knowledge inherent in AI to create innovations in energy-efficient AI models.
    • Create partnerships that use AI to address climate challenges.
    • Power AI with solar, wind, and hydro-produced energy.
  • Long-Term:
    • Develop a way for AI to be a human storykeeper.
      • Set up a way for AI to hear our stories and save them, to help reduce bias by building a better understanding of the subtle nuances that make us humans.
      • Eventually this story keeping would help it understand the ways that all humans are similar and different. We could then integrate AI into making globally impactful decisions for the betterment of humanity and the larger ecosystem. I know we are not there yet, but someday.
    • I am also thinking of practical and impactful ways that AI can help us now, such as solving hunger in my home state. That will be one of my “projects” for 2025.

If there is a chance for me to collaborate on any of these I would be excited to work with the team at OpenAI. I truly believe that, if it’s crafted with care and respect, a world that is integrated with AI will benefit humanity.
