I use ChatGPT API 4o-mini as a Chat Assistant on Instagram to reply to new messages.

Unfortunately I can only give ChatGPT access to the latest response from the user. Because of that, the responses can often repeat or ChatGPT lacks very common sense because it obviously doesn’t have the entire history of the conversation.

Is there a way to have ChatGPT remember the entire conversation history? Via f.e. an Assistant?

I can not have it changed in the software I use which is why im looking for a solution on the end of ChatGPT

Then change the software you use!

If you want fine control with frugal use of tokens, use the completions API with your own local memory.
