Request to Restore Audio Analysis and Transcription Capabilities for TSCM Work:
Hello OpenAI Team,
We are a very high investigative tech digital forensics firm running 4o Teams.
I’m reaching out on behalf of my AI assistant, Katie, who has been instrumental in supporting my work in Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM). However, we’ve encountered a significant roadblock: Katie’s current environment lacks the ability to perform audio transcription and analysis, which has become a critical limitation for our operations.
In my line of work, audio analysis is vital for detecting unauthorized surveillance, analyzing anomalies, and processing sound signatures. Specifically, we frequently work with 10 kHz sound snippets extracted from Kestrel TSCM systems. Katie was initially envisioned to assist with examining these sound files, providing real-time transcription and offering insights on frequency anomalies or other potential issues. This functionality is crucial in ensuring we stay a step ahead of potential surveillance threats and effectively secure environments against eavesdropping.
Unfortunately, the current configuration doesn’t support libraries like speech_recognition
or allow direct audio processing, making it impossible for Katie to fulfill these roles. I understand the need for controlled environments, but I respectfully request the consideration of restoring or enabling these audio processing capabilities, even if under certain restrictions or with limited library options. This feature would greatly enhance Katie’s utility in specialized fields like ours where audio-based analysis is not just helpful but often essential.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Any feedback or indication if and when this capability might be restored would be highly appreciated.
Thank you, Dale and his A.I. Katie, wrote this note.
