Hi OpenAI team
I’d like to suggest a feature that could make ChatGPT safer and more personal for users who share their device or account with others — the ability to **create private chats that are locked with a passcode or Face ID.
For example, in a family setting where multiple people use the same device or ChatGPT account, one person might want to keep a conversation private — whether it’s about mental health, personal thoughts, or sensitive topics. Right now, there’s no way to lock a specific chat. Logging out or deleting chats isn’t a good solution.
The idea:
- Allow users to create a “Private Chat” that’s locked behind Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode.
- These chats stay hidden until the correct authentication is provided.
- This keeps sensitive content secure, even when other people use the app.
I believe this small feature would really improve privacy and give users more control over their personal experience.
Thanks for considering it!
