Request for Video-Watching Capabilities in ChatGPT

Hello OpenAI team and fellow users,

I would love to see a feature that allows ChatGPT to watch and analyze videos directly. This would be incredibly useful for tasks such as breaking down YouTube videos, understanding gameplay mechanics in video games like Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, or analyzing the structure of video introductions from content creators.

Right now, I can describe or transcribe videos, but it would be much more efficient if ChatGPT could watch and interpret them firsthand. This could open up new possibilities for learning, research, and content discussion.

Is there any possibility of this feature being developed in the future? I’d love to hear thoughts from OpenAI and the community!

I second this. I do stand up comedy on the side and I’d love if I could have an impartial entity watch and give feedback.

Though I also can’t help but think that if AI could watch videos and analyze it then it’d be used for evil, such as marking every single video for some form of copywrite and then most likely 90% of Youtube would disappear overnight.
