Request for Bulk Chat Deletion by Year in ChatGPT

Dear OpenAI Team,

I am a regular user of ChatGPT and truly appreciate the value it provides. However, I have noticed no option to delete chat history based on a specific year (e.g., delete only chats from 2024) or to delete multiple chats in bulk.

Currently, users can delete conversations one by one or clear their entire chat history, but there is no way to filter and delete chats from a specific period. This limitation makes it difficult to manage chat history efficiently.

Feature Request:

  • Add a filter option to delete chat history by year, month, or date range.
  • Enable bulk deletion to allow users to select and remove multiple chats at once.

Additionally, this feature is crucial for privacy-conscious users who want to manage their data without having to delete their entire chat history. The current manual deletion process is time-consuming, and adding a year-wise or bulk selection filter would significantly enhance the user experience. Many modern platforms already provide such deletion options, and integrating this feature in ChatGPT would align it with current industry standards.

Many users face this issue, and having this feature would be a great improvement for a large portion of ChatGPT users. If implementing a year-wise deletion is complex, then at least a bulk delete option should be prioritized in upcoming updates to improve usability.

I kindly request your team to consider implementing this in a future update.

I hope you consider this request, as it would greatly benefit users who need better control over their chat history. Thank you for your time and support!

Best regards,
