If I search once for Mechanical Engineering courses or job opportunities in the Oil & Gas field, then no matter what topic I search for next, the answers are still based on my previous searches No matter what the question is.. This is a major bug and cannot be ignored.
Yeah, that definitely doesn’t sound right.
A quick thing to check first, are you reusing the same Assistants API thread for all the questions? If earlier messages are still in the thread, the model can keep leaning on that older context even when the topic changes.
If you can, share:
- the model you’re using
- whether this happens in a brand new thread too
- a couple example prompts/responses showing the repetition
That’d make it easier to tell whether it’s expected context behavior or something actually bugged.
