Recent performance degradations in mobile Codex/GPT 5.5

In the past week I’ve noticed a degradation in both performance and app usability with Codex/GPT 5.5.

I’ve been getting the following issues

  • Codex mobile app constantly disconnecting with my Macbook
  • GPT 5.5 getting stuck in “Thinking” without any progress
  • Socket disconnects

Anybody else noticing similar issues?

Yes 100%. GPT 5.5 doesn’t even think through anything properly before answering. But that’s not new for the latest model - it HAS gotten worse with time, however. And I’m using Pro and Thinking Heavy!
But codex? definitely makes a lot more mistakes lately

Thanks for flagging this. If this is still happening with both apps updated and the Mac awake/online, please send Support the app versions, time of the disconnect, and whether the task kept running on the Mac. That will help separate connection trouble from a stuck task.
