"Read Aloud" Not Working After Update (May 2024)

It’s not worked in any browser for a couple days now(Windows 11, Edge, Chrome) but oddly enough, it works on my phone (Android, chrome) :person_shrugging:

I’m experiencing the same issue with Chrome on my PC running Ubuntu 64 22.04, as well as on my Raspberry Pi with Debian 12 GNOME 43 using Chromium browser, and on a Windows 10 64 PC with Chrome. All browsers are up-to-date. I also checked if the issue was related to location by using my own location and various VPNs to simulate different countries. Unfortunately, this didn’t resolve the issue. I’ve tried everything including clearing cookies, toggling Chrome extensions off and on, and relogging. The only devices that do not have this problem are Android devices.
