It’s common to come across posts that are a turn off and some of them look suspiciously like an AI cut and paste

Things to look for:

  • Several paragraphs long
  • Surprisingly rich in Markdown:
    • Lots of bullet points
    • Headings
  • Doesn’t quote prior Posts at all
  • Doesn’t focus on specific points already raised, generalises (see lack of quoting above)
  • Perfect business English (not such a terrible thing but very dry). Not necessarily a bad thing on its own of course but an additional tell-tale sign when in combination.

This is how I normally do it day to day. I first hit summarize . Then I check for words like an ai saying “ since we talked” that is a red flag :triangular_flag_on_post: if it says “this is how I work or function “ I read more . Then if I need to move it I do but I always tell user I did and if I understand it I will link to proper documentation and links . I will also send it through fact check and sci GPT to check its validity then I decide if it is trash or not. I try to be super professional here but still have a community feel . That’s my goal :heart::rabbit:

You omit the inputs to the forum:

  • Dumb “my code” with AI nonsense attempts to use OpenAI’s API within, wasting everyone’s time and proving zero investment in understanding, showing programming to be outside of the poster’s depth.

Relative contraindication:

  • You have nothing additional to add in a topic, because there is no error and no gap in knowledge needing to be filled in. You are dismayed because there is already a solution just needing a checkmark, and nothing to participate in.

I am on the spectrum, and I have mild dyslexia, so it is actually a god send for me in often toning and editing my messages.

I say blunt stuff to Chatgpt and ask it to humanize it lol really helps people like us
