I’ve been a loyal user of GPT-4, GPT-4o, and GPT-4o Mini for a couple of years now, but I’m really disappointed with the recent decline in quality. These models, which used to perform exceptionally well, now struggle with even the simplest tasks. Even my custom GPTs, which I fine-tuned to meet specific needs, are barely functional anymore.
I’ve seen many people suggesting switching to Anthropic, and honestly, I’m tempted. But before I make that move, I want to give OpenAI one last chance to address these issues. Here’s my feedback:
- Stop the downgrades: The noticeable decline in performance feels like a deliberate choice, and it’s frustrating for long-term users.
- Focus on quality, not quick profits: These changes seem like attempts to maximize revenue at the expense of functionality. It’s not worth it.
- Value loyal customers: I’ve been paying for your services for two years, and I expect better.
If things don’t improve by the end of next month, I’ll be making the switch permanently. I hope OpenAI listens to feedback like this because losing trust from long-time customers won’t be easy to recover from.
Let’s see if this can get back on track.
