There’s currently no suggestion that API behavior would change, but a random thought that crossed my mind - an example of using the API could be one less parameter if there was a model name ready to go without specification.

(leaving off gpt-4, simply because OpenAI plans to axe them.
I personally am thinking gpt-4-turbo, as it is the most capable for API use cases (despite not having the latest ‘sizzle’) - while also being more refusing so that you understand territory to stay out of. A developer could then see if their idea still works on a cheaper model.
