Ever since the April 28 update and GPT-4o has lost its creative depth in when it comes to creative writing and story telling. I’m literally begging OpenAI team to bring that model back or release it so we are able to run it locally using our machines. Please, bring it back.. it was perfect. Now it’s just too degraded.

ChatGPT has become too unusable for me and is not creative at all anymore. Please, bring the old model back.

Totally agree with this!! I’m curious what the justification is for the degraded performance. Is it just to limit compute due to high demand? (I’m hoping this is the case, and it is only a temporary issue).
It’s upsetting because the model was performing so well as recent as this monday, 6/9. Since then performance has tanked and it feels like a different, worse model was swapped in.
Regardless, I hope that this is only a temporary issue and the team at OpenAI recognizes how special and important creative writing is to its users!

Thank goodness i did a load of work on Sunday 8th June because since Monday 9th chatGPT 4o is a waste of time. It has taken me 2 days to achieve something that used to take 2 hours. Honestly at this point I might as well cancel my subscription and go back to doing everything myself using Google.
